I was lazily laying flat on my bed doing unsatisfying scrolling in instagram. As minutes turned out to be hours , the lethargic mind activated the shortcut part of mine for the next course of action. Let’s order food via Talabat . Coz I’m a disciplined man when it comes to time. I eat on time and do things on time, with exceptions .That’s when I get a forward message which read “Discipline is something that you need to show up on your bad days”. I reread it and said to myself “thats deep man. True”. Few seconds later an impending guilt started to resurface . i always find excuse of not doing things. when I am not satisfied in convincing myself , I get approval from others. When they validate, I feel happy that I wasn’t coming up with excuses and I haven’t done anything wrong. Isn’t how normal people do? But did I want to be extraordinary ? Naaa. i wanted to be successful .

But whatever you want to be or strive to become 1% better, shouldn’t I be disciplined?. The wise man in me rose up and started coxing me by telling me a simple thing. It is easy to head to the gym, go for a walk , read a book or cook food when situations are favourable . The real challenge comes when things go upside down and you are on the verge of breaking down. As they say, inspiring leaders and successful people are made through adversities . Just like the movies we watch, we wouldn’t get thrilled or cry in the end when the protagonist gets his dream without any trouble . We want adversities and catastrophies . Its only when the hero surpasses this with emotions and zeal, we feel wow!!!. This is achieved through discipline

So next time when we know it’s a bad day or lazy day, remember the commitment that you signed up for . It not only changes your mood to at least 1% towards good, but makes you one step closer in coming a better version of yourself. Because , discipline’s what you need to follow even when its a bad day.
